Meet Frank Morin
I grew up in Maine with a voracious appetite for reading, and have always loved great stories in whatever form, from novels to movies to campfire tales. I started writing stories as a teen, but got sidetracked into a computer programming career. Now an independent software consultant, I’ve turned back to writing with a passion.
I write all types of fantasy and have begun releasing novels in my YA fantasy series, The Petralist. This is Big Magic, Big Adventure, and Lots of Humor.
Then there’s my sci-fi time travel thriller series – The Facetakers. If you want action, adventure, romance, magic, all tumbling back through time in a way never seen before, this series is for you.
My other stories are also a ton of fun. Odin’s Eye is a short story included in the anthology A Game of Horns, a Red Unicorn Anthology. And The Essence is a short story included in the Dragon Writers anthology. These anthologies raise funds for scholarships to the premier writing business workshop – Superstars of Writing. My story Only Logical is part of Unseen, a collection of stories raising funds to support author Rachel Ann Nunes in her fight against plagiarism.
I live in Oregon with my wife Jenny and our four children. In our home, storytelling is a cherished family tradition that keeps magic alive. When not working or spending time with my family, I am an avid outdoors enthusiast and can often be found hiking, camping, Scuba diving, or otherwise exploring the great outdoors.
One of the goals of this site is to share my experience and knowledge about writing and the business of writing. I love visiting schools and teaching students, and that love of teaching will be reflected in the site as I add material. I am also part of the Fictorians, a group blog by writers for writers and fans of great writing. Check out our web site here.
I hope you find this site useful.
